The Rockford Fosgate Prime R2-750X5 is a 5-channel, full-range Class-D amplifier designed to run front and rear speakers plus a subwoofer channel from one amplifier. Its useful RMS ratings are 50 watts x 4 plus 200 watts x 1 at 4Ω, increasing to 100 watts x 4 plus 350 watts x 1 at 2Ω. The front and rear channels can alternatively be bridged for 200 watts x 2 at 4Ω; the subwoofer channel is not available in this bridged configuration.
For system tuning, this amplifier has separate variable high-pass and low-pass crossovers for the front and rear channels, a variable low-pass crossover and infrasonic filter for the subwoofer channel, and Punch EQ bass adjustment. C.L.E.A.N. setup circuitry and front, rear, and sub C.L.E.A.N. output indicators assist with gain adjustment. An RLC remote level control is included.
It accepts either RCA low-level or high-level inputs for the front, rear, and sub channels, with a 2/4/5-channel input-selection switch for either input type. Additional installation features include an Auto-Sense bypass switch for vehicles with retained accessory power, compression terminal blocks for power and speaker connections, a cast-aluminum heat sink, convection cooling, and short-circuit, over-current, and rollback protection.
